This is Jen!
My degree in Drama really comes in handy at weddings. I use my improv skills to keep you chill before your ceremony (that’s when I got the most nervous on my wedding day) and to keep you laughing throughout your portraits. I use my projecting voice to round up all your rowdy guests for group shots. I reference musicals and early 2000’s movies for no good reason at all.
I’m really into ghosts, although I’ve never actually seen one. If your venue is haunted, I will bribe a bartender to let me into the basement.
Some people would say I’m competitive. When I was an 11-year-old synchronized swimmer, I passed out underwater during a competition of who could swim the furthest on one breath. I won.
If it weren’t for my husband, I would have suffocated under a pile of pets by now. So far we have a dog, two cats, two rabbits, and a rat. I pretend to volunteer at the Oakville & Milton Humane Society, but really I’m just scouting out our next family member.
If I had to pick my top 5 celebrity crushes, they would be Jonathan Van Ness, Kate McKinnon, Sterling K. Brown, Zak Bagans, and Jake Gyllenhaal, in no particular order.
We have a baby now! Her name is Betty (after Betty White) and she is the BEST.
Uptown Funk is my jam, and if I hear it on your wedding day, I WILL lose complete control of my body.
I am the unhealthiest vegan you’'ll ever meet. I basically only eat take-out. If you open a vegan drive-thru in Waterdown, I will capture your wedding for free. This is not a joke.
Christmas Eve is my favourite day of the year. I get really sad on Christmas Day when it’s over… so we always drive around that night looking at all the lights.
I’m a Pisces and I pretend that’s the reason I cry so much. Like at commercials. And when my dog is being cute. And when celebrity couples break up. And during your vows.
